Throneway is a Catholic outreach ministry of Jesus Youth Canada - a community of young artists, musicians, and creatives united by the conviction that beauty leads to God.
Our Mission
Building a culture of worship through the arts.
We believe the arts are not decoration - they are proclamation. Every song, every image, every gathering is an act of worship: a declaration that God is worthy, and that beauty is one of his most potent languages.
Based in Toronto, we operate through music, visual art, digital media, and live events - always aimed at one thing: helping young people encounter the living God.
Our Story
From receiving the gift of encounter,
to creating spaces for others to meet Christ.
Throneway began as a response to what we had first received: prayer, worship, friendship, formation, and a living encounter with Jesus through the Jesus Youth movement.
Before Throneway:
Received
Before there was a name, there was a community. Throneway grew out of young people formed by Jesus Youth, through prayer meetings, retreats, worship, friendship, and a real encounter with Christ.
We had received so much from spaces where people could meet God honestly and deeply. Over time, that gift stirred something in us: a desire to help create that same kind of space for others.
2018
Offered
What if we gave God our best?
In 2018, we felt a strong push in our hearts to set aside one day at the end of the summer and offer it completely to God.
The idea was simple: gather the community, prepare with excellence, and create one night in the year where people could encounter Jesus through praise, worship, and adoration.
It was never about putting on a show. It was about offering God our absolute best: our time, our gifts, our creativity, our prayer, and our preparation, so that hearts could be opened to Him.
Summer 2018
Gathered
That first night became a praise and worship concert and adoration night, built by community and centered on Jesus.
We wanted to help bring revival and build a culture of worship in the Greater Toronto Area, not by doing something impressive, but by making room for God to move.
And God moved.
What we thought might be a one-time offering became something we felt called to continue.
Today
Still Saying Yes
Since then, Throneway has continued to serve through worship nights, retreats, conferences, parish events, media, and original music.
The heart has stayed the same: receive from God, give Him our best, and help others encounter Him.
We are still saying yes, still rooted in prayer, still formed by community, still building a culture of worship, and still believing that beauty, worship, and encounter can lead hearts to Jesus.
Throneway exists to lead people to the throne of God, not as an audience, but as sons and daughters coming home.

A regular time for meditative reading of Sacred Scripture, shaping our lives according to God's will.

Fellowship
Deep spiritual friendships and sustained life of communion through mutual support and encouragement.
Evangelization
Sharing Jesus with others in genuine, simple, and innovative ways every day.
